Residency at Cultivamos Cultura, Portugal

August 7-20, 2024

I’ve been super fortunate to be in residence at Cultivamos Cultura in Sao Luis, Portugal. The residency is founded by esteemed bioartist Marta de Menezes. This will be the first part of my residency and I’ll continue in Spring 2025. I will begin by exploring biomaterials and circular economies sourced from the ocean and the Great Lakes. I’ve been interested in learning how to create more sustainable materials for sculpture making that directly relate to my interests in the politics of conservation and ecosystem services.
